OZZY OSBOURNE & JAKE E. LEE (for fans of poppy yet heavy metal)

My friend Danny Todzia lent me 'The Ultimate Sin' by Ozzy Osbourne when I was in 6th grade. I never gave it back. Jake E. Lee was the guitarist on this album. He replaced the greater celebrated Randy Rhodes after his untimely death at the age of 25. Jake did a fine job filling in as Ozzy's sideman but would never get the full respect from his audience. It's too bad cause his playing is stellar on this particular record. I've posted "Shot in the Dark" which captures his economic yet scorching style. If you wanna see a parking lot of has-been metalheads erupt in an air guitar frenzy, play this song.

OZZY OSBOURNE, "Shot in the Dark"

  • I am a huge fan of Ozzy Osbourne . I would LOVE to see Jake "E" Lee & Ozzie reunite !! Randy & Jake were the finest guitar players he ever had . Zak may be good to , but way to much of a show off . Jake had the style & sex appeal that Zak just doesn,t have . I have every album from Ozzy & Sabbath , but think his biggest mistake ever was not keeping Jak "E" Lee . You're the best & would love to see you re-unite !!
